Op 9 december 2011 wordt voor het vierde jaar op rij het Open Source Conference gehouden met Passenger Terminal Amsterdam als locatie. Namens Finalist zal Marc van Ogtrop (Directeur Business Development) een presentatie geven met als titel: Empowering Customers. Increasing Volume, Frequency and Value With Open Source Tooling. Finalist is tevens de gehele dag als exposant aanwezig.

Over Open source Conference 2011

After 3 successful editions of the Open Source Conference, Accenture and Red Hat are now organizing the 4th edition of this annually recurring international event.

The objective of the conference is to give participants insight in the latest developments and practical applications of Open Source Software in building integrated business solutions. The program will consist of independent keynotes as well as contributions that are based on real project and client experiences. This way, we demonstrate how using Open Source technology can leverage extensive business value. The Open Source Conference welcomes guests from the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.

Program
This year the program will be expanded, next to the business sessions we will also have technical sessions, workshops and demo sessions. Themes for this year include Cloud Computing, Enterprise Applications, Open Source Migration, Virtualization, Analytics, Mobile Strategy & Android and Social Media. The program for this full day event will comprise strong, current and independent presentations by first class speakers and practice experts. More details about the agenda will follow as soon as possible.

Location
The Open Source Conference 2011 will be held at the PTA – Passenger Terminal Amsterdam, a top venue with a beautiful view on the IJ. The PTA is an aesthetically pleasing example of modern architecture which makes it one of the city’s most striking landmarks. The PTA is located within easy walking distance of the city centre. Its glass structure creates a transparent and open ambiance.

During the information market both visitors and exhibitors will have the opportunity to network in an open and very contemporary atmosphere.
